Privacy Policy
PielGlow ("we", "us") is a skincare and wellness tracking app run by Bloom & Balance, an independent business based in India. This page explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: glowtracker07@gmail.com.
1. What we collect

Face photos and skin information can be sensitive. We only use them to provide the features you ask for.
2. How we use it
- To provide the app, your routine, reminders, progress, badges and Premium features.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix errors.
- To send you tips, new features and offers only if you ticked the box for it when signing up. You can untick or unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Glow Scan and AI
When you run a Glow Scan, your 3 photos and quiz answers are sent through our server to Google's Gemini API to produce the analysis. We do not keep the scan photos on our servers. We keep a log of the scan (your email, whether it succeeded, and which model ran) to enforce monthly limits and to debug problems. Google processes the photos under its own terms and privacy policy, so only scan if you are comfortable with that. Do not scan photos of other people without their permission.
4. Who we share it with
We use these providers to run PielGlow. They process data on our behalf:
- Supabase – database, sign-in, backups, file storage and server functions (hosted in the United States).
- Google – Gemini API for Glow Scan, and Google Sign-In if you choose it.
- Apple – only if you choose Sign in with Apple.
- Dodo Payments – checkout and subscription billing.
- Netlify – hosting of the website and app.
- Sentry – crash and error reports.
- LogRocket – session replay to find bugs, started only if you accept the analytics prompt. Form inputs are masked.
- Resend / email provider – sign-up confirmation and password reset emails.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
5. Where your data is processed
We are based in India and our main database is in the United States. By using PielGlow you understand your data is transferred to and processed in those countries. We rely on our providers' security and transfer safeguards for this.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, backups, photos, reminders and notification addresses. Some records may stay for a short time in backups, or longer where the law requires (for example payment records held by our payment provider).
7. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct or delete your data, or ask for a copy: email us and we will respond within 30 days.
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails or analytics at any time.
- Turn off notifications in your browser or phone settings.
- If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the rights set out in the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. If you live in California or another US state with privacy laws, you can ask what we hold and ask us to delete it.
8. Cookies and local storage
PielGlow stores your data and settings in your browser's local storage so the app works offline. We do not use advertising cookies.
9. Children
PielGlow is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls and a private storage area for profile photos. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
11. Changes
If we make important changes we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you in the app or by email.
